The Augustinian Canons of Our Lady of Walsingham is the fruit of a sacred pilgrimage of discernment, born from the intentional prayer and humble devotion of Benedictine brothers within the Companions of Our Lady of Walsingham (OLW).
While bound by simple profession, these brothers became attentive to the stirrings of the Holy Spirit, who was calling them to transition from the hidden life of the digital cloister to a more active expression of religious service.
Following two years of patient listening and seeking God’s will—and supported by the fraternal blessing of the life-professed members of their original community—they stepped forth in faith to establish a new community. Guided by the Rule of St. Augustine, they have embraced a new charism and a common rule of life, dedicated to serving the Church with one mind and one heart, intent upon God.
